Accommodation and Day Pass Program for families with sick kids

Day Pass Program for all families of patients at The Children’s Hospital Westmead

Our Day Pass Program is available between 9am – 5pm weekdays to all families of children receiving treatment at The Children’s Hospital Westmead. This service provides access to our ground floor facilities next door to the hospital, where eligible families are welcomed to receive a daily meal and refreshments, enjoy our comfortable communal lounge, play and kitchen areas, and other ground floor amenities and support. All Day Pass Participants must pre-register here.

Accommodation for families traveling long distances for hospital treatment

Our 60-room House is located next door to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, offering accommodation and wraparound support to parents, caregivers, and siblings of seriously ill children receiving treatment at hospital. Our House also supports mothers going through high-risk pregnancies.

While consideration is given to each family’s needs and their child’s medical circumstances, we prioritise:

  • Families who live further from the hospital
  • Families whose children have been recently diagnosed
  • Families whose children have been seriously injured
  • Families whose children require emergency treatment

We aim to accommodate the needs of families wherever we can, but this is always subject to availability.

This is provided at no cost to eligible families. To find out if you’re eligible for government financial assistance, contact your hospital social worker or talk to one of our team.

To enquire about booking a stay with us, please fill out the form below and one of our Family Liaison Ambassadors will be in touch or call 02 9806 7111.
