Nourishing families seven days a week
Limited meal options and access add to the stress parents and carers face while spending days or weeks at their child’s bedside.
Our Grab&Go meals aim to alleviate this burden. Paediatric patient families at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead (CHW) are welcome to Grab&Go meals to take back to the hospital, available from 9am to 9pm daily at our Westmead House reception.
These pre-packed meals provide not just nourishment but also a moment of relief and comfort during challenging times.
By offering easy access to nutritious meals at no cost to families, Grab&Go helps reduce the physical and emotional strain on families, allowing them to focus on what matters most: their child’s health and well-being.
Families can speak with their ward staff or Social Work at CHW to receive a Grab&Go voucher, which are also available at our reception. Vouchers will need to be presented to RMHC GWS staff or volunteers upon arrival.
Our House is conveniently located at 1 Labyrinth Way, Westmead 2145, accessible via Redbank Rd or a short 300m walk through the gate at the end of Westmead Children’s Hospital children’s garden.
