Non-Resident Families

Support services for patient families at The Children's Hospital at Westmead

Family supported by Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Western Sydney

To support more families of ill and injured children, our doors are open during the day to welcome patient families receiving treatment and care at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead (CHW).

Whether it’s a day of relief, convenient grab-and-go meal options, or a hot dinner to end the day, our programs for non-resident families aim to provide comfort and support beyond those staying with us at our Westmead House.

Day Pass Program

Respite and comfort away from the clinical hospital environment

Grab&Go Meals

Nourishing and accessible meals to alleviate stress around mealtimes

Meals from the Heart

Home-cooked dinner to fill hearts and bellies after a long hospital day

"RMHC has been a source of community, a place to relax, and somewhere to escape the hustle and bustle of the hospital and to let our guard down. We lived locally and weren't staying at the House, but our unique story was recognised and we were given a chance to stay for dinners, use the gym facilities, stay for Day Pass, and felt cared for in a way that was helpful to us.
