The support Ronald McDonald House Greater Western Sydney gave Harlow's family allowed them to focus on her recovery rather than worry about finances.
At Harlow’s 6-week appointment for vaccinations, mum Gemma was told her baby had a heart murmur. They were taken to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead for the first of many surgeries.
Thankfully, her family was able to stay at the Westmead House when Harlow finally had her big surgery. “Being able to stay at Ronald McDonald House gave us the peace of mind that we would have free accommodation. They gave us the ability to focus on Harlow’s operation and recovery rather than worry about finances,” Gemma says.

“We spent seven nights at Ronald McDonald House and it meant the absolute world to us. It gave us space away from the hustle and bustle of the hospital and the opportunity to rest and recharge so that we could give Harlow our best selves while she recovered.”
