Trusted support that embraces families with sick and injured kids
Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Western Sydney has provided life-changing support to families with sick and injured children since 1981.
Our services include a 6o-room House next door to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead (CHW). With support from our community, we provide meals, counselling, education services, social and recreational activities, everyday essentials, community, and hope.
We also provide a Day Pass Program at our Westmead House, where families with a child who is a patient of the hospital can access our ground floor facilities every day, including meals and refreshments.
The Ronald McDonald Family Room in CHW serves as a sanctuary away from the clinical hospital environment while remaining just moments away from their child’s bedside.
Our Hospitality Carts operate on the children’s wards of CHW and Nepean and Campbelltown Hospitals. They provide bedside comfort in the form of snacks, refreshments, boredom busters, and everyday essentials.
In total, we currently support over 3,500 families every year. But this is only possible with the help of donations from our community.
Parents don’t know when their children will need medical help. But they should know they can always access the care they need. With your help, we can support them throughout their journey.

For families with sick kids, being home for the holidays isn't always possible, but with your help, they can still be together, supported and surrounded by care.
