When your child is in the hospital, being close matters. The Ronald McDonald Family Room at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead (CHW) offers a peaceful space for families to rest, recharge, and care for themselves, just moments from their child’s bedside.
Staffed by compassionate volunteers, the Family Room gives vital respite for parents and carers. Research* shows that 87% of families using Ronald McDonald Family Rooms experience improved emotional well-being, and 90% report better rest and physical health.

Families will have access to:
Operating daily from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, the Ronald McDonald Family Room in Westmead is located at Level 2, Block K at CHW.
All families with an admitted child at CHW are eligible to use the Family Room. Registration is required upon entry.
